Napoli Eye Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s Replacement

Napoli manager Antonio Conte has identified Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho as his top target to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is expected to join PSG, according to Sportitalia. After being impressed with Scott McTominay’s contributions, the Partenopei are keen to add another Red Devils player to their squad.

Garnacho's Rising Profile

The 19-year-old Argentine has seen a resurgence in form recently, particularly during Manchester United's FA Cup clash against Arsenal, where he started and provided a crucial assist. Despite limited appearances under Ruben Amorim earlier this season, Garnacho has managed to contribute 4 goals in 25 outings across all competitions. Since joining United in 2020, he has also earned eight caps for Argentina, showcasing his growing international pedigree.

Napoli's Offer and United's Valuation

Napoli is reportedly preparing a €45 million bid for Garnacho, including potential add-ons, fueled by the anticipated windfall from Kvaratskhelia’s sale. However, Corriere dello Sport suggests that United value the young winger between €60–65 million. There is room for negotiation, but the Red Devils’ stance remains unclear.

With financial pressures from the FSR (Financial Sustainability Regulations) and the need to support their new manager’s vision, United may consider offloading youth players like Garnacho to fund reinforcements.

Alternative Targets for Napoli

In addition to Garnacho, Napoli is monitoring Dan Ndoye from Bologna as a more affordable option, valued at €25 million. However, Bologna is reluctant to let Ndoye leave in January. The Partenopei have also explored a potential move for Cyril Ngonge, though Bologna rejected their initial approach.

As the transfer window heats up, Napoli’s pursuit of Garnacho could spark significant developments in the coming weeks, with the Italian club eager to bolster their squad for the challenges ahead.
