A fresh insight into the ongoing transfer links between La Liga champions Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro has this week been provided.

This comes amid the understanding that, as of this moment, the Blaugrana are not working on a deal for the Spanish international.

The name of defender Porro has emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent weeks. Amid widespread reports that the Blaugrana are on the lookout for fresh blood at right-back, the 27-year-old has been labelled as a leading candidate.

Porro, once considered a liability at Tottenham, has spent recent seasons establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s standout full-backs.

Such exploits have not gone unnoticed back in his home country, where the aforementioned Barcelona have been heavily linked with a swoop for Porro’s services.
