Ligue 1 once again disrupted by ongoing protests in France
Ligue 1 action this weekend will once again be affected by the ongoing protests across the country. Several games have already been moved.
Several games across Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 were moved last weekend following directives from local Prefectures. Such directives saw Paris Saint-Germain’s game against Olympique Lyonnais postponed. Initially, the game was scheduled for Sunday night but was moved to Monday, preventing the majority of the PSG delegation from attending the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.
Toulouse FC’s game against ESTAC Troyes was also moved from Saturday to Sunday. As of Tuesday afternoon, three Ligue 1 games that had been scheduled to take place on Saturday night have been moved to other days. OGC Nice-Stade Rennais has been moved to Friday night, FC Lorient-Stade Brestois has been moved to Monday night, and Olympique Lyonnais-SCO Angers has been moved to Sunday afternoon.
In Ligue 2, Stade de Reims-FC Sochaux-Montbéliard has been moved from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning.
