A staggering statistic, highlighting the utter dominance of Barcelona star Rodri in the club’s latest outing, has come to the fore online.

This comes fresh off another stellar individual performance on the part of the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to the Spotify Camp Nou for a La Liga clash. Rodri for his part featured from the off in the clash, from his customary deep-lying berth in the middle of the park.

And en route to an eventual 3-0 Blaugrana triumph, the 30-year-old dominated every facet of the game, controlling the tempo and rhythm of proceedings with trademark poise.

All told, Rodri attempted 126 passes over the course of the 90 minutes, finding his intended target with all but five.

And as since revealed by statistician Nil Sola, this tally of 121 completed passes is 15 more than was managed by the entire Getafe XI on Saturday (106).
