Serie A side Milan are yet to tie down Christian Pulisic to a new deal, with the player’s current contract running out in 2027. While the Athletic have reported that no talks have taken place, some updates from Italy are emerging about the situation.

Daniele Longo has reported that the next few days hold the key to extend Pulisic’s stay until 2028.

Club owner Gerry Cardinale intends to exercise the option to extend until 2028, as him and Ruben Amorim are convinced the squad can’t do without him. Besides that, they are happy to hand him time to recover fully and he won’t be called up for the games in October.

But once his contract is renewed until 2028, attempts will be made to keep him at Milan long-term. This is seen as a second stage for discussions, with Amorim keen on keeping Pulisic for as long as he can.

The American has already scored some days ago, finding the net for the first time in 2026. That should give him the confidence to keep going and it aligns with Milan’s vision around a fit and firing version of Pulisic.
