Ayase Ueda may start over Olivier Giroud this afternoon as Lille OSC host ESTAC Troyes at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. Ueda netted last weekend in the 1-0 win over Toulouse FC.

It is expected that Ueda will rotate with Giroud this season, at least until the turn of the year when Hamza Igamane’s return could provide Davide Ancelotti with more options in the attack. There is uncertainty as to who will start on the left of the attack this afternoon. It is in this position that Ancelotti looks undecided. The Italian has so far started four different players here. Basar Onal may get the nod today, L’Équipe understands.

Barring the absence of Igamane, Lille have a full squad to pick from as they look to bounce back from the midweek defeat to Real Betis.
