RC Strasbourg Alsace have reportedly informed VfB Stuttgart of their desire to secure the services of Badredine Bouanani (21), according to L’Équipe.

Keen to negotiate a loan deal for the Algerian winger, the Alsatian club’s management are said to have found their German counterparts open to the possibility. Discussions are currently underway between the two clubs.

A product of the LOSC Lille youth academy, it was, however, at OGC Nice – which he joined in 2022 – that Bouanani launched his professional career. Having made 70 appearances in all competitions (five goals, seven assists) for Les Aiglons, the 21-year-old also spent six months on loan at FC Lorient during the second half of the 2023-24 season.

Making a permanent move to Germany last summer, Bouanani – whilst not having established himself as an undisputed first-team regular under Sebastian Hoeneß – has nevertheless made 28 appearances (two goals, two assists) for Stuttgart, where he remains under contract until 2030.

An Algerian international since 2023, he has made five appearances for the national team. Although selected for the World Cup this summer, Bouanani did not play a single minute.
