Official | Le Mans FC sign Metz centre-forward Habib Diallo
Promoted Ligue 1 side Le Mans FC have signed Senegal international striker Habib Diallo (31) from Ligue 2 side FC Metz, both clubs have announced. The experienced centre-forward has put pen to paper over a three-year deal with Patrick Videira’s side. He’ll wear the No. 13 jersey for the Sarthe outfit. Diallo brings much-needed experience to the promoted Ligue 1 side. The 40-times Senegal international is expected to bring competition to Louis Mafouta, who has already logged three goals in two league games this season.
Diallo only logged four goals in 25 games played with FC Metz last season in Ligue 1. The Senegalese was expected to leave the Ligue 2 outfit. He hasn’t made the matchday squad for last week’s game against Annecy. Diallo is Le Mans’ ninth signing of this summer’s transfer window. Diallo could make his Le Mans debut against Lens on Sunday.
