Barcelona starlet Guille Fernández has secured a deadline day move away from Catalunya’s capital, to join RCD Mallorca. And the financial details of the operation have this evening come to the fore online.

Youngster Guille has for his part been tipped for a potential Barcelona exit throughout the summer to date. Aware of the tall task in front of him in working his way into a regular place in the midfield setup of Hansi Flick at senior level, the 18-year-old was forced to face up to the fact that he may require a move away from his beloved Blaugrana.

The aforementioned Mallorca, fresh off relegation to the Segunda, in turn recently presented their project to Guille, with the Spanish youth international featuring front and centre.

And this evidently proved enough to convince Guille and his family of the merits of a Son Moix switch. As per a statement released by Barcelona on Tuesday:

‘FC Barcelona and RCD Mallorca have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Guille Fernández. The Club reserves a percentage of any future sale of the player.’

As per an ensuing report from Barca insider Ferran Martinez, meanwhile, the financial figures of the operation are as follows:

• Mallorca have paid €2.2 million for 60% of Guille’s playing rights.
• Barcelona maintain 40% of his rights.
• The Blaugrana also hold a right of first refusal and a buyback option.
