Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly working to secure the return of Nottingham Forest striker Arnaud Kalimendo (24) to the club, according to Sky Sport Deutschland. Other sides are also said to be interested in signing the player.

On loan at Die Adler during the second half of last season, the French striker made a good impression, proving decisive on seven occasions (six goals and one assist) in 19 Bundesliga appearances.

However, Forest, where Kalimuendo remains under contract until 2030, are demanding a fee in excess of €30m to agree to part ways with the Suresnes-born player. Crucially, the East Midlands club are rejecting any suggestion of a loan deal with an option to buy, insisting on a permanent transfer for the 24-year-old.

Having arrived in England from Stade Rennais for €30m last summer, Kalimuendo has struggled to settle in, finding the net just twice in his 16 appearances (four as a starter) for the Reds.
