Augsburg working to acquire Man City prospect Juma Bah on loan

Kicker reports that Augsburg are working on a deal to sign Manchester City centre-back Juma Bah on loan. The Bundesliga outfit are currently negotiating a season-long move for the 20-year-old defender. Talks are also understood to include the possibility of a purchase option for Augsburg next summer. Augsburg, in sudden need of central defensive help following Keven Schlotterbeck’s surprise departure, may have found a replacement.

Bah, who stands 1.95 metres tall, remains under contract with Manchester City but spent last season away from the Premier League club on loan at OGC Nice. Augsburg are now attempting to bring the Sierra Leone international to Germany as they continue shaping their squad for the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign.

The proposed agreement would initially see Bah join FCA on loan for the full season. The inclusion of a purchase option would, however, potentially give Augsburg the opportunity to secure the highly rated defender on a permanent basis should his spell in Germany prove successful.

Negotiations remain ongoing, with no agreement yet officially confirmed by either Augsburg or Manchester City.
