Monaco have enquired about Tottenham Hotspur target Pape Matar Sarr
AS Monaco have made an enquiry about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr (23), as per a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Monaco are preparing potentially for a departure in midfield before the end of the window. Whilst Filipe Luís is desperate to keep Lamine Camara, the Senegal international continues to be linked with a move away from the Principality club. Given their need to raise further funds this summer, they are not in a position to resist advances for Camara.
Les Monégasques have been heavily linked with Erik Lira, however, a non-EU place would have to be freed to complete the Mexico international’s signing. Sarr, whose prospects at Tottenham Hotspur this season under Roberto De Zerbi look limited, has now emerged as a potential target. Like Camara, Sarr also has experience in France, having also played for FC Metz. A loan deal is a possibility; talks over the project and the salary have taken a place, Romano understands.
