Liverpool prioritize deal for Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr
Liverpool are reported to have made Crystal Palace player Ismaïla Sarr (28) one of their attacking priorities for the final stages of the summer transfer window, according to reports from the French media outlet Foot Mercato.
Although he was reported to be close to joining Turkish club Galatasaray, the Senegalese striker is said to have been the subject of strong interest from the Reds in recent hours.
Whilst no official offer has yet been made to the Eagles’ management – who are expecting at least €60m before agreeing to let their player go – talks between the various parties are reportedly well underway. Sarr, for his part, is said to be very open to the idea of joining Liverpool and is even prepared to go head-to-head with his superiors.
Having returned to England two years ago after a season with Olympique de Marseille, the Saint-Louis native has enjoyed two successful seasons, the most recent of which saw him score 21 goals and provide two assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, as well as winning the Conference League title.
