RC Lens register interest in Neom centre-back Nathan Zeze
Lens are interested in offering France U21 international centre-back Nathan Zeze a way back into Ligue 1, according to Foot Mercato. Zeze left formative club FC Nantes last summer to join Saudi Pro League side Neom SC in a then club-record €20m deal. The 21-year-old Zeze featured 36 times for Neom, but the Saudi outfit is expected to free up funds before a transfer spree. An exit, even temporary, is then on the cards for Zeze.
Foot Mercato reports that RC Lens, who are set to play in the UEFA Champions League group stage, are interested in his services to bolster Dino Toppmöller’s defensive options. The Artois side needs reinforcements after parting ways with Malang Sarr in the summer. There are also doubts on Samson Baidoo’s injury. Serie A side Bologna and Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have also enquired about Zeze.
