Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo makes more history with first Al-Nassr goal of the season

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has on Friday continued to etch his name ever further into the history books of modern football.

This comes courtesy of his exploits in the Portuguese’s first appearance of the new campaign in the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr continued the defence of their SPL title this evening, making the trip to Al-Riyadh for a Matchday Two clash. The aforementioned Ronaldo, after sitting out the opening round of action, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench from the off in Riyadh.

After being introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half, though, the veteran frontman wasted little time in making his presence felt.

En route to an eventual 4-0 Al-Nassr romp, Ronaldo rounded out the scoring late on, swivelling inside the penalty area before slotting home a fine left-footed finish.

And as alluded to above, in the process, Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer secured another piece of history. As revealed by Bleacher Report, Ronaldo has now scored a league goal in 25 consecutive seasons.
