Aleksandar Stankovic keen on Inter stay despite interest from many clubs

Serie A side Inter are set to rope in Curtis Jonees from Liverpool and this could hinder the development of midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic. But the player is keen on staying with the Italian champions.

Earlier this summer, Inter exercised their option to buy the Serbian back from Club Brugge. There have been doubts about his future at the club but things are now slowly starting to clear up.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Stankovic wants to play his cards under Cristian Chivu next season. Even if competition for the midfield is now fierce, it hasn’t changed his mind about his situation and he doesn’t even want to seek a loan exit.

There is interest from Torino and some other suitors can also offer him Champions League football. But Stankovic has no immediate plans to depart. He will assess his situation between now and January and then consider how to proceed further.

The player has previously described playing for Inter as a dream and this led him to returning after a good season in Belgium in the 2025/25 campaign.
