Newcastle United in contention to sign AC Milan’s Christopher Nkunku
Just one year after signing from Chelsea, Christopher Nkunku (28) could be on the move once again this summer. The Frenchman will be allowed to leave AC Milan, and three teams have lined up the forward, as per a report from Foot Mercato.
Following his €37m move, Nkunku scored eight goals and registered three assists in 35 games for the Italian club. However, he does not seem to feature in the plans of new manager Ruben Amorim. His availability has now alerted his suitors.
Foot Mercato understands that Borussia Dortmund have made an enquiry for the France international. Whilst a return to the Bundesliga, where he previously flourished at RB Leipzig, is on the cards, other options do exist for the former Chelsea man. A return to the Premier League is also a real possibility, with Newcastle United described as a “serious option” for the forward this summer. Finally, RB Leipzig are also an option. Moves to Turkiye or Saudi Arabia are not being considered by Nkunku.
