Monaco ‘discussing options’ to replace Paul Pogba, Filipe Luís confirms

AS Monaco are “discussing options” to replace Paul Pogba (33), whose contract was terminated by mutual consent on Wednesday. The Frenchman has left just one year into his two-year deal at the Principality club.

Pogba joined last summer following the end of his two-year doping ban. However, injuries limited him to just over 100 minutes of football over six appearances. As a result, his time with Les Monégasques has been cut short. In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, new Monaco manager Filipe Luís evoked the possibility of replacing the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder.

Camara also linked with exit, Lira a target?

“Replacing Pogba? It’s possible, it’s possible. We are discussing the options, according to our reality and what we can do. It’s possible that we are open on the market until the last day,” said the Brazilian. The Principality club could also lose Lamine Camara before the end of the window. The Senegal international is attracting interest from the Premier League. Mexico international Erik Lira has been linked with a move to Monaco.
