Hansi Flick confirms Barcelona’s 3 ‘provisional’ captains

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Tuesday spoken out on the captaincy situation in his squad. This comes fresh off a string of reports surfacing on Monday, pointing towards a reshuffling of the pack in Catalunya’s capital.

Barca have this summer bid farewell to two leading members of the club’s captaincy contingent, namely Marc-André ter Stegen and Ronald Araújo.

With next-in-line Frenkie de Jong having also been struck down by a long-term injury setback, Hansi Flick and his staff have therefore been left with a major decision to make.

Barca’s temporary armband pecking order, as of this moment, is Raphinha, Pedri, and Eric García.

Raphinha, Pedri, and Eric Garcia are the new captains of Barça until the window closes.

“Frenkie is not available right now. I've decided on the captains provisionally…
