Milan could reportedly make a handsome profit from Tijjani Reijnders’ potential transfer to Nottingham Forest. According to Calciomercato, the Tricky Trees are currently in talks with Manchester City over the 28-year-old midfielder’s move to the City Ground.

After two impressive seasons at the San Siro, Reijnders joined Man City in a £46.5m deal last summer. Despite signing a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, the Dutch star could be on his way out after just one year.

Reijnders enjoyed a promising start to life in the Premier League. However, he fell out of favor with Pep Guardiola over the course of the 2025/26 campaign. Even though the Spaniard left the club at the end of last season, the former Milan ace looks destined to sever ties with the 10-time English champions.

Meanwhile, several Serie A clubs, including Juventus, had been keen to bring Reijnders back to the Apennines. Yet, Forest could beat them to the punch.

Forest avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last term and have no intention of enduring another nightmare season. As such, they’re plotting an eye-watering £55m move for Reijnders, who could be open to the deal after tumbling down the pecking order in Manchester.

If Oliver Glasner’s men pull off this high-profile transfer, Milan will receive roughly €14m thanks to a sell-on clause included in the deal that took Reijnders to Man City last summer. It would be a handsome financial boost for the Rossoneri, especially now that they’re trying to reinforce their squad amid Rafael Leao’s uncertain future at the club.
