Eintracht Frankfurt and Schalke 04 work out details of Junior Dina Ebimbe transfer
Florian Plettenberg reports that Schalke 04 have worked out the details with Eintracht Frankfurt over Junior Dina Ebimbe’s permanent transfer. As previously reported, Schalke submitted a written offer for the versatile midfielder earlier this week. A transfer fee of approximately €1.3m plus bonuses has been discussed. Plettenberg now claims that Eintracht will receive €1m, but have secured a 25 percent sell-on clause.
The 25-year-old has agreed personal terms on a contract through 2028. The proposed deal also includes an option to extend the agreement by a further season. Talks between Schalke and Frankfurt are described as very advanced. Frankfurt’s final approval remains the only outstanding obstacle, with the transfer expected to be completed soon.
Dina Ebimbe joined Frankfurt permanently from Paris Saint-Germain for €6.5m after initially arriving on loan. He registered 15 goals and eight assists across 85 competitive appearances for die Adler. The former France youth international spent last season on loan at Stade Brest, scoring five goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances. Brest declined to activate their reported €7m purchase option.
