Ajax have targeted Napoli’s Noa Lang as a potential replacement for Mika Godts, should the Belgian leave for PSG.

While currently deep in conversation with the Parisians regarding Godts’ potential exit, Ajax are weighing up a loan move for Napoli outcast Lang.

Gli Azzurri have put the Netherlands international in the shop window, just a year after his arrival from PSV. A loan-to-buy deal looks like the ideal scenario for all parties, including Lang, who is open to a return to Amsterdam.

Lang played in Ajax’s youth academy from the age of 14, and went on to feature sparingly in the first team. Following a loan to FC Twente in the 2019-20 season, an impressive loan at Club Brugge led the Belgians to sign him permanently for approximately six million euros.

Lang’s star continued to rise in Belgium, and he came back to the Netherlands with PSV. After winning back-to-back Eredivisie titles in Eindhoven in 2023–24 and 2024–25, the skilful winger moved to Napoli in the summer of 2025 for a reported fee of €25 million.

Unfortunately, though, Lang struggled under Antonio Conte and eventually left on loan to Galatasaray in the winter window. Napoli are now willing to loan him out again, provided a purchase option is added that is automatically triggered upon certain performance-based permutations. Lang’s price tag remains at 25 million euros.

Both Ajax and Lang seem keen on the move, but talks will only gain momentum once PSG make an offer for Godts around the asking price of 60 million euros.
