Report – Como Submit Formal Offer for Chelsea Center-Back
Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could soon complete his transfer to Como, with Lariani lodging a formal offer for the Englishman. According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between the clubs are ongoing.
Unfazed by Inter’s long-standing interest in the 27-year-old, Como have intensified negotiations with Chelsea in recent days. Indeed, Cesc Fabregas’ men sent an improved proposal after the Blues turned down their initial approach.
The Blues turned down Como’s opening bid for their unsettled center-back. However, the Italians appear to be hellbent on signing the Sierra Leone native. Therefore, they’ve submitted a new €25 million offer plus €5m in bonuses.
While the whole package would be worth €30m, these add-ons are reportedly ‘not easy’ to reach. Therefore, Chelsea may take more time to consider other options, perhaps waiting for Inter’s attempt to hijack Como’s interest.
Our take on Como & Chalobah
Despite spending last season on the fringes at Stamford Bridge, Chalobah would bring a wealth of experience to this exciting Como project. Indeed, he has spent his entire professional career in England, playing exclusively in the Premier League over the past five years.
Moreover, Chalobah was part of the England squad that won the bronze medal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With Como set to feature in the Champions League for the first time in club history, having a player of Chalobah’s experience and quality could prove invaluable. However, the player’s stance remains uncertain.
