Leipzig put in a bid for Lorient’s rising star Imrane Camara

RB Leipzig are reported to have made a substantial offer to FC Lorient in a bid to secure the services of Imrane Camara (16), according to information from Foot Mercato. Several French and Spanish clubs are also said to have expressed an interest.

However, Les Merlus hope to fend off these approaches, as they would like to reach an agreement quickly to offer the young attacking midfielder his first professional contract.

Regarded as one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Breton club’s academy, the Roubaix-born player has also earned five caps for the France Under-16s. A small-statured player, Camara has established himself as a talent who is at ease playing in tight spaces and building up play, whilst also demonstrating precision from set pieces.

These qualities are naturally highly valued within the Red Bull organisation, which is keen on recruiting and developing young talents from all corners of the globe.
