Strasbourg prioritise Thomas Frank amid managerial search
RC Strasbourg Alsace are prioritising former Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank as they search for a replacement for Gary O’Neil, as per reports from Sacha Tavolieri and Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
O’Neil, who only replaced the outgoing Liam Rosenior back in January, left to join Ipswich Town. It left Le Racing searching for their third manager of 2026. The club want to name a replacement before 8th July, the day that the players return for pre-season training.
It was reported by Onze Mondial earlier on Monday that former Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy was Le Racing’s priority to replace O’Neil. However, Toubache-Ter understands that it is in fact former Spurs manager Frank who is the priority.
Tavolieri adds that Strasbourg have made contact with the Dane with a view to striking a deal. However, the former Spurs and Brentford manager wants his say when it comes to player recruitment, whilst he also wants lots of assistants. The journalist adds that Nancy is viewed as Plan B.
