Exclusive | European-qualified Ligue 1 side interested in Standard Liege’s Matthieu Epolo
Matthieu Epolo (21) has enjoyed a standout campaign at Standard Liege, to the extent that he has been included in DR Congo’s squad for the FIFA World Cup.
Epolo was also included in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) squad and, prior to the tournament, he made his debut for the nation, in a 2-0 win over Zambia. Prior to his call-up, he had represented Belgium all the way up to U21 level.
Having played 31 times for Standard Liege last season, Epolo has accrued valuable experience. His performances have also attracted interest, notably from Serie A, Get French Football News understands. However, there is also interest from the other side of the Alps in Ligue 1.
