Juventus Competing with Tottenham for Liverpool Staple

Juventus have entered the race for Andrew Robertson late, who reached an agreement in principle with Tottenham in previous months, with the parties waiting for the outcome of the relegation struggle to finalize it.

According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the Bianconeri are trying to hijack the Spurs’ pursuit and tendered their proposal. His contract is expiring. Like a few Liverpool mainstays, he’s ending his cycle and will head to a different team.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus have moved swiftly and decisively enough to upset Tottenham’s apple cart in the Robertson chase. He tallied 3 goals and 2 assists in 36 matches in 2025/2026. He’s been at Anfield since 2017 and has accumulated 378 appearances over the years, hitting the net 14 times and dishing out 69 helpers. He captains Scotland and has 92 caps with them under his belt.

Despite not qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, the Old Lady remains confident about signing Alisson. On the other hand, they don’t want to pay a big fee, and Liverpool relayed to him that they’d like to keep him for another season.

Our Take on Juventus and Robertson

They need a left-back regardless, as Juan Cabal has been MIA and is most likely on his way out, but onboarding a pretty high-profile one would mean that they are open for business for Andrea Cambiaso. He’s one of their few linchpins they can turn a profit on and replace without hurting the quality of their squad. It’s not easy to compete with Premier League sides on wages, and they haven’t secured any of their many rumored free agent targets for now.
