Report – Galatasaray Eye Up Summer Swoop for Juventus Midfielder

Reigning Turkish Super Lig holders Galatasaray are reportedly weighing up a summer move for Juventus star Khephren Thuram. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rams Park giants are willing to offer up to €40 million to sign the French midfielder.

Juventus splashed out €20 million to bring Khephren Thuram from Nice in the summer of 2024. Meanwhile, the player’s market value has doubled over the past two years, with the 25-year-old establishing himself as one of the most consistent midfielders in Serie A, let alone Turin.

Indeed, Thuram has been indispensable for Juventus this season. He has made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing four assists. Therefore, it stands to reason that the record-time Serie A champions are reluctant to negotiate his sale.

However, with Juventus set to miss out on Champions League qualification, they may be forced to offload some of their top players. In addition to Dusan Vlahovic, who is on the verge of leaving the club as a free agent, the Bianconeri could also lose Thuram, who continues to generate interest across Europe.

Despite failing to make the France squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Thuram remains one of the most in-demand midfielders in Serie A. Formerly linked with a move to Inter, where he would be able to reunite with his brother Marcus, the Frenchman could depart Italy in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are ready to challenge Inter for Thuram’s signature. The Turks don’t lack ambition and have already demonstrated their capacity to lure elite players to Istanbul with the arrivals of Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane, and Ilkay Gundogan, among others.
