Roma Searching for Potential Options in the Bundesliga

Roma director Frederic Massara is hanging by a thread after Claudio Ranieri’s firing, and the outcome of the wide-open UEFA Champions League is pivotal, but the work ahead of the summer isn’t slowing down, Corriere dello Sport informs.

Their scouts are looking for players who could fit the coach’s style, regardless of who will lead the front office next. Some were recently spotted at the BayArena for the clash between Die Aspirin and RB Leipzig.

Roma are believed to be highly interested in Antonio Nusa. However, the competition is fierce, and his price tag is significant. He has tallied 5 goals and 4 assists in 33 appearances this campaign. It’s his second Bundesliga one after breaking out at Club Brugge. He contributed to eliminating Italy from the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with his performances for Norway. The winger scored 7 goals in 22 appearances with his national team.

Gasperini has been clamoring to add a speedster, as their attempts went belly-up this season. The Giallorossi are also monitoring Xaver Schlager for the midfield. He could depart on a free and has been linked to Juventus. They are also keeping tabs on Fenerbahce’s Jayden Oosterwolde. He can man a few roles in the back and on the left flank. He moved to Turkey in 2023 after bursting onto the scene at Twente and a strong season with Parma in Serie B.

Our Take on Roma

Other than replacing whoever they’ll lose because of their Financial Fair Play-related issues, an electrifying winger should be their first order of business and largest investment in the summer. They have been making it work with different types of players there, but somebody with Ademola Lookman-like characteristics would massively lift their offense.
