Ousmane Dembélé says there is ‘no reason’ to leave PSG
Ousmane Dembélé (29) has said that there is “no reason” to leave Paris Saint-Germain, even though he has admitted that the decision is not necessarily his to make.
Dembélé was named Ballon d’Or winner back in September after an extraordinary season on an individual title, which converted into collective titles for PSG (Ligue 1, Coupe de France, UEFA Champions League…). Despite this season being more injury-hit, Dembélé remains a key player for Les Parisiens.
However, recent reports in France have suggested that there may be difficulties with contract extension talks. The Ballon d’Or winner’s current deal runs until 2028. In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Dembélé has responded to talk about his future.
“There is no reason not to extend,” he began. “But it is not me who makes the decisions. The discussions around my contract are between my agent and the club. I haven’t managed that since the very start of my career.”
