Inter Still Interested in Adding More Creativity

Inter have frequently been linked to creative and pacey players, eyeing a possible tactical adjustment, in recent windows, but they never actually managed to land one. They will try again in the summer, TuttoSport informs.

Ademola Lookman was their most tangible target. He’s no longer an option after his Atletico Madrid move. The Nerazzurri also lodged an inquiry for Nico Williams last summer, who snubbed Barcelona to stay at Athletic Club, penning an extension until 2035. He’s not having a stellar campaign.

As far as speedsters are concerned, Inter pursued Moussa Diaby in January, but they couldn’t concoct a deal with Al-Ittihad and the Saudi FA. He has notched 3 assists and 13 appearances this season and has 11 caps with France under his belt.

The Serie A leaders are long-time admirers of Nico Paz. He should be brought back by Real Madrid in the summer. They’ll be waiting in the wings to see whether Los Galacticos will actually keep him, though, as they are deep in his role. Per Tuttomercatoweb, it’s not a lock, but the only way for other sides to bring him in is through the same formula used by the Lariani for the Argentine and by Milan for Brahim Diaz, with Los Blancos maintaining control over the player.

Our Take on Inter

A switch to 3-4-2-1 or perhaps something more radical will go through the sale of Marcus Thuram. It isn’t out of the question since he doesn’t seem to have clicked with Christian Chivu. It’s mighty hard to sign Paz, and that kind of deal isn’t enticing for a team of their caliber. With Como likely qualifying for a European cup, his departure might not actually be a fait accompli.
