Fiorentina keen on Fabio Paratici move

Fiorentina are in advanced talks with Fabio Paratici to bring the executive back to Italy, as his time at Tottenham could be coming to an end.

According to Matteo Moretto, Fabio Paratic and Fiorentina are in advanced talks over a switch back to Italy. The Viola are eager to lure the Tottenham key man back to his homeland, which may signal an end to his time in north London, which has been unstable at best.

Fabio Paratici, when he joined Tottenham many years ago from Juventus, brought about a certain promise to bring the team back to the top of the Premier League elite. The Italian executive was instrumental in deals for Cristian Romero and others in his early days, but since then, controversy has stuck with the 53-year-old.

Paratici was hit with a 30-month ban from football following his involvement with the false accounting scandal at Juventus. Despite appealing, the 53-year-old was unsuccessful in overturning the ban, which he has since served.

Following the ban, Paratici resigned from his role at Spurs, but the club have maintained informal contacts with the 53-year-old. However, when the ban expired in July 2025, Paratici returned to north London in a new role, as the club’s Sporting Director.

However, things in the background have changed since the departure of former chief Daniel Levy, who has seen the club’s owners shake things up. The idea of Paratici seemingly heading towards an exit could be part of the shake-up, as Fiorentina are now in talks with the Italian to bring him back to his homeland.

Fiorentina to lure Fabio Paratici?

As per Matteo Moretto, talks are at an advanced stage between Fiorentina and Paratici, as there could be a solution in the coming period. It appears, the Viola wants to bring the Tottenham key man to the club to build a structure in the background for long-term success.

Should Paratici end up leaving Tottenham, Fiorentina might be the favourites to land the executive, as Moretto claims there could be a breakthrough in the coming period. The departure could also be part of the shake-up at Spurs, which may then see the north Londoners potentially finding a replacement for the 53-year-old Italian.
