Franck Haise set to remain OGC Nice manager
Franck Haise looked set to be the first to depart OGC Nice in the wake of Sunday’s violence outside the club’s training ground.
The former RC Lens manager believed that a “line had been crossed” after Terem Moffi, Jérémie Boga, and Florian Maurice were targeted by Nice fans, gathered outside the training ground on Sunday night, just a few hours after their defeat against FC Lorient, their sixth loss in a row in all competitions.
The two players are now on sick leave and criminal proceedings have been opened. Within this context, Haise was set to leave his role. However, contrary to expectations, when he arrived at the training ground on Wednesday, he did not announce his departure, but instead expressed a desire to remain at the club, as per a report from L’Équipe.
Haise, whose contract with Le Gym runs until 2029, will now meet with the club’s management later on Wednesday. The former Lens manager is convinced that he can turn around the club’s difficult situation.
