Manor Solomon wants Villarreal exit in January
Manor Solomon wants to leave Villarreal owing to multiple problems experienced since his summer arrival on loan.
According to Fichajes, Manor Solomon is eager to exit Villarreal in the January window owing to multiple problems incurred at the club. The Israeli international has not settled in Spain since moving on loan from Tottenham, as a clause in his current deal allows him to leave in the winter window.
Manor Solomon has not hit the ground running at Villarreal since making his loan move in the summer. The winger has endured a tough start to life in Spain owing to his lack of adaptation in Marcelino’s team, as well as the pressure faced due to the ongoing political situation in Israel and Palestine.
Solomon has been an unused substitute in two of his last three games and not in the squad in the other one. There are suggestions that he’s making it difficult for Marcelino to select him in his plans, despite scoring and assisting in his two initial appearances for Villarreal.
Solomon is also facing a hostile environment, mostly from supporter groups, as all the issues combined have made life difficult for him. His decision to join Villarreal now looks bad, especially considering he could have had the chance to stay in England, as Leeds United were interested in re-signing him.
Leeds United missed out on Solomon due to a lack of European football, alongside other targets they wanted to sign. They were not alone, as Solomon was also in talks with Crystal Palace over a move, but the deal never advanced, which then saw the winger join Villarreal.
Manor Solomon wants to quit Villarreal
Solomond is not considering leaving Villarrreal in January to seek opportunities elsewhere where he could be a regular starter. As per the report, the winger’s contract has a clause that would allow him to quit Villarreal in January without the possibility of any compensation, as he may have to find a new club, as the attacker has no future at Spurs.
With Solomon’s current deal at Tottenham expiring next summer, the club could even open the doors to let him leave on a free transfer in January. There’s a distinct chance for him to join a team in England, as this is a league he’s quite experienced in following few key seasons here.
