Galatasaray remain in contact with Yves Bissouma, Bosman move possible

Galatasaray are in contact with Yves Bissouma’s camp ahead of exploring a Bosman move for the Tottenham midfielder next summer.

According to The Sun, Yves Bissouma is still a firm target for Galatasaray ahead of next summer when his Tottenham contract expires. The Malian midfielder is faced with an uncertain future at Spurs, while also dealing with a major injury issue, which could scupper any chance of a departure in January.

Yves Bissouma has been a steady signing for Tottenham since his £25 million move from Brighton a few years ago. He has been a solid presence in their midfield, but things have changed under Thomas Frank, following the manager’s decision to omit the African midfielder from the UEFA Super Cup squad earlier owing to disciplinary reasons.

Back in the summer, Bissouma courted plenty of interest from clubs in different countries, including Galatasaray from the Turkish Super Lig. Fenerbahce were also interested briefly, but it is believed, as per the report, that the Turkish giants backed out owing to some complications with a knee issue the midfielder was dealing with.

Right now, Yves Bissouma is dealing with an ankle problem that will keep him out until early next year, which probably rules out a January departure. While the midfielder is yet to play for Spurs this term, there were reports earlier that Frank might consider giving him a second chance.

Spurs were eager to offload him back in the summer, considering he had entered the final year of his deal at the club. However, they are not potentially staring at the prospect of losing him on the free, as some Premier League sides are also interested in him ahead of the future.

It appears Galatasaray have maintained an interest in Bissouma ahead of exploring a Bosman move next summer. The Turkish giants are reportedly willing to offer him a three-year deal in the hope of luring the £25 million Tottenham misfit to Istanbul ahead of some other suitors.

Yves Bissouma might consider the approach from Galatasaray and join a host of top names there. However, he might also consider staying in England if a suitable offer arrives, as his experience in the Premier League is something many teams are looking for in the market.
