West Ham United hoping to sign Manor Solomon

West Ham United have enquired about the availability of Manor Solomon ahead of January, with the winger ready to leave Villarreal.

According to El Peridico Mediterraneo via Sport Witness, West Ham United are exploring a move for Manor Solomon ahead of January. The Israeli winger is ready to leave Villarreal, amid being unsettled in Spain since his summer move, as the Hammers have enquired about the winger.

Manor Solomon had a difficult period at Villarreal since his loan move in the summer from Tottenham. The Israeli winger is unsettled in Spain, and is not seen as a part of Marcelino’s plans moving forward. He has sat on the bench in two of his last three games for the club while making the matchday squad on one occasion.

Despite scoring and assisting in each of his first two games for Villarreal, many factors are making the winger consider leaving in January. There’s a way for him to leave the club, as the report states, he has already asked Tottenham about the possibility of returning.

Solomon’s deal in north London expires next summer, as there lies a possibility for him to depart from his deal early. Back in the summer, he was linked with a few English sides, including Crystal Palace, as well as pondering re-signing for Leeds United, where he spent the previous campaign on loan from Spurs.

Now, West Ham United have enquired about Solomon, as the Londoners are expected to have a busy January window ahead. The Hammers are exploring whether to make a loan approach or sign him permanently, although the latter would depend on how much Spurs would ask in return, considering the winger would be available on a free transfer in the summer.

West Ham United are ready to bolster their attack

West Ham are prioritising a new striker in January amid links to Dusan Vlahovic, among others, which also includes Endrick. There’s also the possibility of Niclas Fullkrug departing if a new striker arrives, while Nuno Espirito Santo might also look at a new winger.

Solomon could be the spark that West Ham needs in their wide areas, as his cheap price and ready availability make a possible deal look easier. It remains to be seen whether he can leave Villarreal without a hitch, as he certainly does not have a future at Tottenham. Hence, a move to the Hammers could be suitable for all parties, where the attacking outcast from Tottenham could get regular minutes.
