Manchester United plotting €50 million move for Javi Guerra

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are gearing up to make a €50 million offer for Valencia midfield sensation Javi Guerra.

Manchester United are keen on bolstering their midfield in the upcoming winter transfer window. Ruben Amorim seeks more quality in the centre of the park, and the Red Devils have their eyes on Valencia’s Javi Guerra.

According to a report from Fichajes, the Premier League giants could make an offer of around €50 million to try and lure him away from Valencia. Not only will he add more depth to their midfield, but he will also become one of their mainstays in the long run.

Guerra’s rise at Valencia

Guerra joined the Valencia youth setup back in 2019, and he has gone up the ranks at some pace. The 22-year-old was promoted to their first team back in 2023 and has only gone from strength to strength since.

He has featured in over 100 matches for their senior side and has been a constant feature in their XI this season. He penned a new deal in the summer, which runs until 2029 and has a €100 million release clause. However, his future is still up in the air amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Manchester United prepare an offer for Guerra

Thanks to his consistent performances and massive potential, Manchester United are keen on prising him away. The Red Devils have been closely monitoring his progress for some time and consider him an ideal fit for their project.

Amorim seeks more options in midfield, and Guerra’s versatility could certainly come in handy. While he is protected by a massive release clause, Valencia could be willing to negotiate a lower fee because of their recent struggles and a potential relegation battle.

United are well aware of their situation and are ready to test the waters with what they consider a significant financial offer. Signing him won’t be that straightforward, as Valencia are in complete control of his future, and would prefer having him around if possible.

The Red Devils will have to convince the 22-year-old that their project is ideal for his development as a player, and that he will get regular minutes if he ends up joining them in the winter.
