Borussia Dortmund ponder winter move for Jadon Sancho

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United in the winter transfer window.

Jadon Sancho is currently on loan at Aston Villa, but he has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot. He needs to play more often at this stage of his career, and leaving the West Midlands club in January would be ideal. Meanwhile, Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur has suggested that Borussia Dortmund may hand the Manchester United misfit an escape route in January

It will be interesting to see if the West Midlands outfit decide to send him back to his parent club in January. Manchester United do not view him as a key part of their plans, and they will look to get rid of him permanently.

Returning to Borussia Dortmund could be ideal for him. The Englishman played his best football with the German club in the past, and returning to his comfort zone might help him regain his form and confidence. It remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga outfit decide to come forward with an offer to sign him in January.

The Black and Yellows need more quality and cutting-edge in the final third, and bringing the 25-year-old back to Signal Iduna Park could be ideal for them. The Englishman knows the club and the league well. He might be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact.

Sancho needs a fresh start

Sancho will be desperate for regular opportunities. The English playmaker is at the peak of his career, and he will not want to sit on the bench at Aston Villa or Manchester United. Returning to the Bundesliga club would be ideal for his career right now. With the World Cup coming up in 2026, he will want to be a part of the England national team setup.

Sancho needs to play regularly for that to happen. He will certainly hope that Manchester United, and Borussia Dortmund can finalise a deal in the coming weeks. The Red Devils spent a lot of money when they signed the Englishman from the Bundesliga club, but he has not been able to live up to the expectations. It would be ideal for them to cut their losses and let the player move on.
