Arsenal and Liverpool will face stiff competition from Barcelona in their pursuit of Belgian attacking sensation Malick Fofana.

According to Ekrem Konur, Barcelona have entered the race for the services of Malick Fofana. The Catalan giants are all set to rival Arsenal and Liverpool in their pursuit of the Olympique Lyonnais winger.

Fofana came up the ranks at KAA Gent, and after making a name for himself while playing for their first team, he made the move to Lyon at the start of 2024, and hasn’t looked back since.

Since joining the French outfit, he has been involved in a total of 74 matches and has contributed towards 25 goals. While he prefers playing out wide on the left flank, the 20-year-old is capable enough to feature anywhere in attack.

He has made an impressive start to the new season, having bagged two goals and an assist in his nine league outings. His sensational progress at Lyon hasn’t gone unnoticed. Multiple top clubs are keen on signing the youngster, who has been a regular feature in the Belgian national team of late.

Liverpool and Arsenal are two English clubs that have been keeping tabs on the versatile forward for some time. Both clubs like what they have seen from him and believe he could be a great acquisition for the long term.
