Chelsea and Barcelona are interested in Daniel Munoz
Chelsea have joined the race for Daniel Munoz, with Barcelona also pushing to get a deal done for the wide player from Crystal Palace.
According to Ekrem Konur, Daniel Munoz is a big target for some of the top clubs ahead of future windows. Chelsea are the latest to enter the race alongside a host of other top clubs, with Barcelona the one pushing to get a deal done for the Crystal Palace star.
Daniel Munoz has been a consistent performer for this Crystal Palace side, particularly under the tutelage of Oliver Glasner. The Austrian coach has managed to maximise the Colombian’s talents in his system, where he uses him as a right wing-back and uses his width to the best ability.
Munoz has been tremendous on both ends of the pitch, especially in the final third, as he has excelled there with his ability to pick out goalscorers time and again. The Colombian is at the peak of his powers at the moment and is widely considered one of the best in the right-back role at the moment.
Back in January, there were many clubs interested, but Crystal Palace were firm in their stance and showed no interest in considering any sale of the Colombian. They might have to bring back the strategy ahead of another January window, where Munoz is attracting big interest once again.
Chelsea are the latest to enter the race for the wide player from Crystal Palace, as they could push to get a right back in January. The Blues are currently well covered in the position, and also the fact that Munoz falls slightly out of their usual age range of transfer targets, meaning his signing may not be seen as a priority.
Barcelona are pushing for Daniel Munoz
Barcelona have been interested in signing Munoz for some time, and now director Deco is pushing to get a deal in place. Hansi Flick is reportedly looking for a new right back as a priority addition for his squad ahead of the second half of the season.
The issue would come from Palace, who are not interested in losing a key player midway through an important campaign. However, they might consider if the offer suits their cause, meaning, they could demand a significant fee for the Colombian, which could truly test sides like Barcelona in their resolve to sign the wide player.
