PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé to miss France matches

Ousmane Dembélé’s (28) difficult start to the season continues. The Paris Saint-Germain forward sustained a hamstring injury during the September international break, which kept him out for six weeks. Since returning, he has been building up his fitness, however, he has now suffered another muscular injury.

The Ballon d’Or winner was substituted midway through the first half of PSG’s UEFA Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich (1-2) on Tuesday. Post-match, Luis Enrique said that the injury was not related to his previous hamstring injury.

However, it is once again a muscular problem for Dembélé. As per a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the Frenchman has sustained a calf injury. As a result, he will play no part against Olympique Lyonnais at the weekend.

In addition, he will also be ruled out of the upcoming international break, with France looking to confirm their place in next summer’s FIFA World Cup.
