Inter Keeping Tabs on Pacey CSKA Moscow Attacker

Inter have shortlisted CSKA Moscow prospect Kirill Glebov, who has broken out in the last couple of seasons. He has totaled 9 goals and 6 assists in 59 appearances with his current team. He earned his maiden call-up with Russia in September.

His agent, Taimaz Kharkhanov, alluded to the chatter in an interview with FCInterNews.

“He’s a very fast winger and has become one of the reference points for his side. He’s agile and explosive, can handle the ball, and he has tactical awareness. He reminds me of Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.”

“I can’t comment on the rumors, but I can confirm that various top European clubs are following him, and I’m in touch with them. At this stage, I haven’t been contacted by any Inter official to discuss something concrete involving Glebov. They are one of the most important clubs in Europe. Should they make a formal offer, we’d surely be interested. But they’d eventually have to come to terms with CSKA first.”

The Nerazzurri would need to negotiate with the Russian side.

“There’s no release clause in the contract, so it’s tough to set a proper price tag.”

Our Take on Inter and Glebov

They are potentially set for years after signing Ange-Yoan Bonny and promoting Francesco Pio Esposito, who didn’t need much time to get acclimated and prove they belong. Still, they can always add to their frontline. A change-of-pace guy who could zoom past defenders and would allow them to tweak their scheme in a pinch has been on their agenda for a while. If they still feel they need one, a mid-sized investment could be on the horizon.
