According to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United and Newcastle United must pay at least £100-120 million for Elliot Anderson ahead of next summer. The two Premier League clubs are interested in the Nottingham Forest midfielder, and there could be other teams in the mix around next summer’s transfer window.

Elliot Anderson has made himself a big name in the Premier League following a spell of consistent performance for Nottingham Forest since his move there. Having joined the club from Newcastle United in the summer of 2024, the midfielder has grown in stature, which also saw him debut for England recently.

He is also now seen as a fixture for the national side ahead of next year’s World Cup, following some impressive displays for England in recent international breaks. In the background, some of the top clubs have ramped up their chase of the midfielder, as Nottingham Forest face a stern test of character in keeping hold of the 22-year-old Premier League midfielder.

Newcastle United are interested in re-signing Elliot Anderson, whom they sold to Forest for PSR reasons back in 2024. The idea is to bring him back to his old stomping grounds, as he’s now seen as one of the top players in his position in the league, and the Mapgies will feel they could have an upper hand due to their past connections with the player.

Manchester United are also interested in Anderson as part of their midfield revamp, which is widely expected to accelerate next summer. He’s not the only player on their list, but the Red Devils do see the 22-year-old Englishman as a top target should they get going in the chase.
