Manchester City line up €10 million move for Dro Fernandez

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are gearing up to make a €10 million bid to sign Barcelona midfield prodigy Dro Fernandez.

Manchester City are always on the lookout for young players with massive potential, as they look to build for the future and continue their dominance in England and Europe. The Premier League giants have their eyes set on Barcelona academy product, Dro Fernandez.

According to a report from Fichajes, Pep Guardiola’s team are willing to put forward an offer worth €10 million to sign the midfield sensation, who has an estimated value of €5 million. City have concrete interest in the teenager and are doing everything in their power to prise him away.

Fernandez has been a part of La Masia since 2022. He has gone up the ranks at some pace and is currently a part of their B team. While he hasn’t been promoted to the first team yet, the 17-year-old has already made his professional debut.

He prefers playing as a number ten, but is capable enough to feature on the flanks as well as in a deeper role when needed. His sensational rise and consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

City want to sign Fernandez

Given his massive potential, Manchester City are keen on prising him away from Barcelona. Pep Guardiola’s team consider him an ideal fit for their long-term plans and are looking to strike a deal with the Spanish giants in 2026.

With his contract running out in the summer of 2027, Barcelona certainly have a massive decision to make with regards to his future. The Catalan giants could either look to cash in on him to ease some financial pressure or try their best to hold onto him, as he could end up being a prominent figure in their team in a few years.
