Barcelona told to pay €30 million for Daniel Munoz
Hansi Flick’s Barcelona will have to fork out €30 million to sign Crystal Palace defensive mainstay Daniel Munoz.
Daniel Munoz might soon have to make a massive decision with regard to his future. The Colombian international could have the opportunity to move to La Liga, as Spanish giants Barcelona are keen on signing him next summer
According to a report from Fichajes, Crystal Palace are reluctant to let go of the 29-year-old full-back, but they would still be willing to negotiate his departure if an offer close to €30 million arrives. The Catalan giants are fully aware of what they will have to do to sign the Colombian defender.
On the back of his impressive performances for Genk, Munoz joined the Eagles at the start of 2024. He has only gone from strength to strength since. Not only has he established himself as one of their mainstays, but his consistent performances have also put him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs.
Barcelona to push for Munoz’s signature
Barcelona are one of the clubs that have taken note of his performances and would love to add him to their squad. The Catalan giants seek more quality and depth on the right flank, as Jules Kounde is the only out-and-out right-back option in their squad.
Flick considers him an ideal fit for his plans, and the Catalan giants could soon launch a move for the 29-year-old. His current deal at Palace runs until the summer of 2028, and they also have an option to extend it by another season.
As a result, the Premier League outfit has complete control over his future. They do not have any plans to negotiate his departure, but as per the report, offers close to €30 million could be considered. Interested clubs could enter into negotiations if they are willing to meet the Eagles’ valuation.
Munoz could prove to be a very valuable addition to the Barcelona team, as he is equally effective on both ends of the pitch. Apart from the right-back position, the 29-year-old could even feature in the heart of the defence, which will certainly bolster the Spanish club’s squad.
