Getafe manager Jose Bordalas reveals Vinicius Junior mocking – “He told me…”

Real Madrid returned to the summit of La Liga on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Getafe, but there were many controversies that took place during the encounter at the Coliseum. The big one was Allan Nyom’s red card less than a minute after coming on, which has been hotly disputed by the hosts.

As per Diario AS, Getafe head coach Jose Bordalas spoke to the media post-match on the subject, and he made it clear that he thought a red card was not justified.

“I have heard the fourth official who has told him that red, he was nearby. We agree that it is excessive, it is a spectacular foul but with yellow it would have been solved without a problem. Vinicius exaggerates, touches his face and Nyom is sent off unfairly.

Bordalas: Vinicius told me “very good substitution”

Bordalas also revealed that Vinicius had trolled him over the decision to bring Nyom on, with the 37-year-old defender being dismissed only moments after he had been brought on in place of Kiko Femenia.

“I had a dispute with Bellingham, then Vinicius came over and told me “very good substitution’. Then Bellingham came to tell me something and I told him to play and not to talk so much.

“Vinicius doesn’t have to come and provoke me and tell me ‘very good substitution’. The effort has gone to waste. The children have emptied themselves. We are suffering a lot of adversity this season, but Nyom’s sending off has marked the game.”

Bordalas also made it clear that he thought that his Getafe side were referred to a different standard by referee Jose Luis Martinez Munuera, claiming that similar fouls by Real Madrid went punished.

“I’m not judging, but there were very similar fouls in the first half that are not sanctioned with a card.”
