Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig tracking Luka Vuskovic progress

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are tracking Luka Vuskovic’s progress in Germany while on loan to Hamburger SV from Tottenham.

According to TEAMtalk, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are keeping close tabs on the progress made by Luka Vuskovic. The defender has been impressive in the Bundesliga while on loan at Hamburger SV from Tottenham, and the two Bundesliga giants are probably thinking about a future move.

Luka Vuskovic arrived as per his scheduled time based on the agreement that Tottenham struck with Hajduk Split. The young defender was highly regarded when Spurs decided to pay £12 million for his services, but so far, he has not been deemed ready for Thomas Frank’s first team.

He was visible during the pre-season, although the club chose to send him out on loan for the duration of the current season. Vuskovic joined Hamburg on a season-long loan deal from Spurs, and he has already made a significant mark on proceedings.

Luka Vuskovic is widely viewed as Hamburg’s best player so far in the recent phase, while keeping two clean sheets in his four games so far. The youngster also opened his scoring against Heidenheim, and overall, he has looked ready to take his game to another level, which will be good news for Spurs.

Tottenham secured the young defender to a contract until 2030, meaning they are not in a position of stress to evaluate his future. In fact, the loan deal is potentially designed to help him gain valuable top-flight expertise before being considered for Frank’s first team plans from next season onwards. Hence, Tottenham view the Croat as a strategic investment for the future.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are keeping close tabs on the performances of the £12 million Tottenham wonderkid. Both those teams could get a closer look at the young defender when they take on Hamburg in consecutive weeks after the international break.

Both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have shown plenty of promise when it comes to developing young talents into bonafide stars. Whether they are considering making a big move for Luka Vuskovic remains to be seen, as Tottenham are unlikely to entertain a sale of such a player, although they could be open to another loan spell next season.
