Arsenal running rule over Kenan Yildiz with scouting missions

Arsenal will reportedly scout 20-year-old Turkish attacking sensation Kenan Yildiz this season as they prepare to pursue a deal next year.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Kenan Yildiz is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker next year. So, the 20-year-old Juventus attacking sensation has emerged as a target for the North London club.

The Gunners are ready to scout the Regensburg-born Turk in the 2025/26 season as they prepare to pursue a deal for him next year. Meanwhile, the Juventus attacking prodigy is also a target for Chelsea, with the two London giants keen on securing his services.

Kenan Yildiz and his rapid rise

Kenan Yildiz has established himself as one of the best players in Serie A since breaking into the first-team squad at Juventus. The 20-year-old spent most of his formative years in Germany and rose in prominence during his spell with Bayern Munich. However, the Turkish international graduated from the youth division at Juventus after the Bianconeri beat several bigwigs to his signature.

The Turkish international made his senior bow at Juventus at the onset of the 2023/24 season, and he has made considerable progress since then. Yildiz has made nearly 100 appearances thus far for the Serie A club while chipping in with 18 goals and 15 assists. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several bigwigs, including Arsenal and Chelsea.

London calling?

Chelsea’s interest in Kenan Yildiz makes sense. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker amid uncertainties surrounding Facundo Buonanotte’s long-term future. The West London club did not include a purchase option in the loan agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion. So, Yildiz has emerged as a viable target for Chelsea.

As for Arsenal, the North London club wanted to sign Kenan Yildiz in the summer transfer window, but the deal did not materialise. The continued interest is understandable, even though Mikel Arteta has a stacked offensive unit. However, Leandro Trossard’s uncertain future at the Emirates has compelled Arsenal to seek a replacement from the market. They are ready to track the young Turk throughout the 2025/26 season.

However, a move next year will be a tall order, as the youngster is committed to Juventus. Additionally, the Serie A giants are reportedly in talks with Yildiz over a new contract. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 20-year-old Turkish international.
