Cristian Orozco set to join Manchester United as deal agreed
Colombian teenager Cristian Orozco is all set to join Manchester United in the summer of 2026 after a deal was agreed with Fortaleza.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Cristian Orozco is set to complete his move to Manchester United in the summer of 2026 following an agreement with Fortaleza. The Colombian teenager is a defensive midfielder by trade, with the Red Devils continuing their young recruitment strategy.
Manchester United have been active in the market for young, up-and-coming stars, who are probably closer to breaking into the first team in the near future. Of late, they have tied up deals for some promising teenagers in different positions, including the arrival of Diego Leone from Paraguay.
Africa has been a big market for Manchester United to explore, as they have recently come out of there with key agreements with at least two promising talents. First, it was Sekou Kone from Mali, and very recently they chased Senegalese talent Mouhamed Dabo, who completed a successful trial at the club.
Now, there is another teenager on the verge of signing for Manchester United, as there were reports that the club had found an agreement for Colombian talent Cristian Orcozo. Fabrizio Romano has since given his ‘Here We Go’ for this particular transfer, after the Red Devils reportedly agreed a deal with Colombian outfit Fortaleza.
Manchester United are set to pay around $1 million for the 17-year-old South American midfield wonderkid, who is set to arrive at the club in the summer of 2026. There is a combination of rules that prevent players from leaving South American countries before they turn 18, as well as the contract agreement with both clubs that makes the transfer ready only for next summer.
