WATCH: Eduardo Camavinga gets on the scoresheet as Real Madrid net fourth goal against Kairat Almaty

Real Madrid are on their way to making it two wins from two in the Champions League, having made it 4-0 against Kairat Almaty in the first half of their league phase clash at the Ortalyq stadion.

The hosts almost took the lead inside the opening 10 seconds, but a header effort was straight into the grateful hands of Thibaut Courtois. Real Madrid were shellshocked in the minutes after that, but they have since regrouped – and in the last 10 minutes, they have piled the pressure on, with their reward having came when a poor defensive header allowed Franco Mastantuono to nip in ahead of 18-year-old Kairat goalkeeper Sherhan Kalmurza, who brought him down for a penalty. Kylian Mbappe stepped up and made no mistake.

Minutes into the second half, Mbappe has got his and Real Madrid’s second of the evening with a delightful finish over the onrushing Kalmurza, having been played in by Courtois. And on 73 minutes, he completed his hattrick.

That third goal allowed Xabi Alonso to make changes, and two of them combined to make it 4-0. Rodrygo Goes did brilliantly to get to the by-line, and his cross was headed home by Eduardo Camavinga.
